Expanding a poultry farm by modernising the slaughterhouse and poultry meat processing
Project goal, tasks and budget
Goal: Increase the added value of production by creating a closed-cycle operation with poultry slaughter and meat processing.
Objective: Modernise the slaughterhouse by introducing modern equipment for slaughtering, plucking, eviscerating and chilling chicken in line with the DSTU 3143:2013 “Poultry meat” standard.
Budget: UAH 12,098,961, of which UAH 7,998,675 is to be raised through the grant programme and UAH 4,100,286 is the company’s own contribution.
Solution
A business plan for modernising the slaughterhouse was developed and a grant application submitted under the state grant programme for processing-industry manufacturing, to finance the purchase of new equipment.
Result
The grant was approved, enabling the workshop modernisation project to be delivered successfully, expanding the company’s operations and improving its competitiveness on the market.
