Expanding a flower-growing business to reduce dependence on imports
Project goal, tasks and budget
Goal: Expand the business in order to increase production capacity and reduce dependence on imported flowers.
Objective: Lease additional greenhouse space, purchase 10,000 tulip bulbs and fit out the shop with a refrigerated display case to store the flowers properly.
Budget: The total investment required to expand the business is UAH 250,000.
Solution
A business plan was developed covering the lease of additional greenhouses, the purchase of tulip bulbs and fitting out the shop with specialised flower storage equipment. An application was submitted to the state grant programme “Vlasna Sprava” (Own Business).
Result
The grant was approved, enabling the expansion project to go ahead, increasing production capacity, reducing import costs and strengthening the owner’s position in the flower market.
